Receptions, offices, boardrooms and members' spaces — the same bench standard as our residential work, at commercial scale and on programme.
A commercial interior lives a harder life than a home — so it is made to the same standard, and built to take it.
We fit out hotels, restaurants, bars, offices, receptions, boardrooms and clubs — reception desks, bars and back-bars, banquette seating, panelling, fitted storage and meeting tables — made in our Poole workshop and installed by our own joiners.
We work to a programme, alongside the architect, contractor and designer, and out of hours where a space has to keep trading. The finish is residential; the build is made to last. For shops and shopfronts, see our shop and retail fit-out.
From our workshop in Poole we take on hospitality fit-out for hotels, restaurants and bars across Bournemouth, Poole, Dorset and the New Forest, and selected projects in London.
Hotel joinery
A hotel asks more of its joinery than a house does. It has to look as though it belongs to the building, stand up to a full house every day, and go in around the hotel’s trading day.
At Chewton Glen, the five-star hotel and spa on the edge of the New Forest, we have made the fitted joinery of The Kitchen, its cookery school and restaurant; the main reception desk of the house, where guests check in; and the oak ladder stairs to the loft bedrooms of the treehouse suites. Serveries, bars, banquettes and fixed seating for restaurants and hospitality — including the joinery for Club Gascon’s 2017 refit in Smithfield, London — built to a residential finish and made to take the trade.

Reception desks & counters
The reception desk sets the tone of an entrance. We make substantial reception desks and counters — here the main check-in desk of Chewton Glen, in dark mahogany with inlaid stringing and leather tops — drawn to the space and finished to furniture standard.

Banquette & booth seating
Fixed banquettes and booth seating for restaurants and hotels, made in our workshop and fitted around the trading day.
For The Kitchen at Chewton Glen we made runs of ribbed leather banquettes, capped in solid oak and set on painted plinths: the seating of a busy restaurant and cookery school, built to be sat on, leaned on and wiped down every day.

Bars & back-bars
For The Kitchen at Chewton Glen — the five-star hotel’s cookery school and restaurant — we made the bar with its fluted copper front on a lit plinth, the oak wine racks of the back-bar, the runs of leather booths and the oak drawer banks of the serveries.
