How we handle reviews.

This policy covers reviews of MSO Joinery (M S O Joinery Limited) wherever they are written, and any review we show on this website. It follows the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and the Competition and Markets Authority’s guidance on fake reviews.

What we never do

We never write reviews ourselves. Nobody at MSO writes a review of our work, and we never ask or pay anyone to write a fake one.

We never pay for reviews. We never offer anything in return for a review: no discount, gift, refund or prize draw.

We never pick who to ask. We do not ask only the clients we expect to be happy.

We never review ourselves through people close to us. We do not ask anyone who works for us, our family or our suppliers to review us.

We never review our competitors. We never write a review of a competing business, and we never pay anyone to write a review of another business.

We never ask for an honest review to be changed or taken down. Putting something right never depends on what a review says.

How we ask

When a job is finished, we ask the client whether they would like to leave a review. We ask every client in the same way, whatever we think they will say, and we never suggest what to write. Reviews of MSO Joinery are left on independent sites such as Google, where we cannot edit or remove them.

How we reply

We read every review and reply to it, good or bad. If a review tells us something has gone wrong, we will get in touch to see how we can put it right.

Fake or unfair reviews

If we believe a review of us is fake, for example because the person was never our client, we report it to the site it was posted on and ask them to check it. If you think a review of MSO Joinery is fake, or was written in return for payment or a gift, please tell us on 01202 152530 or at matthew@msojoinery.co.uk and we will look into it.

Reviews on this website

We do not show customer reviews on this website at the moment. If we do, they will be in the reviewer’s own words, shown with their permission, and not picked out because they are the best ones. The quotes on our project pages come from published articles about the restaurants and hotels concerned. They are credited to the publication, and they describe the venues and their refurbishments: they are not reviews of our work.
