The workshop
The workshop behind every commission.
A Dorset workshop of joiners and cabinetmakers — design, drawings, making and fitting, all under one roof in Poole.
What began at a single bench is now a workshop and a team — the same standards, at greater scale.
MSO started as one maker’s bench. Today it is a team of joiners and cabinetmakers working out of a workshop in Poole, with Matthew now more often at the drawing board than on the tools — designing the work, and standing behind it.
We design, draw, make and install under one roof. The people who survey your house are the people who set it out on the bench and hang the finished work, so nothing is lost in translation — and there is a single point of responsibility for the whole commission.
How a commission runs
Drawn, made and fitted by the same hands.
Every commission follows the same path, from the first visit to the final fit — so you always know where your project is, and who is doing it.
