We make and repair joinery for period and listed properties — sash windows, panelled doors, staircases, panelling and mouldings — matched to what is already there and detailed with respect for the original fabric.
Where a moulding, a sash box or a stair profile has to be copied, we take it off the building and reproduce it exactly. New work is made to sit quietly alongside the old, in occupied and listed homes alike.
Past work includes bespoke vanity cabinets and fitted furniture for a private country house once owned by Winston Churchill.

Sash & casement windows
We repair and draught-proof original sashes where we can, and make like-for-like replacements in timber or Accoya where a window is beyond saving — the profile taken off the building and reproduced exactly.

Period & panelled doors
Panelled doors, frames and mouldings made to match the character of an older house, and hung with ironmongery to suit — new joinery detailed to sit quietly alongside the old.

Mouldings made to match
Older houses are full of mouldings that cannot be bought off the shelf: a deep skirting, an architrave with its own particular profile, a timber cornice made for one room. When a room is repaired, extended or opened up, new work has to carry the same profiles, or the join shows.
We take the profile off the room itself and run new mouldings to match: skirtings, architraves, cornices, dado rails and picture rails, so a new length meets the old one without a visible change. The same goes for a panelled door, a sash or a stair profile that has to be copied.
