Our Story
MSO Joinery grew out of one thing: a joiner who cares about making things well. Matthew O'Grady is a skilled cabinetmaker who set out to offer genuinely bespoke work — pieces designed and built by hand, to a standard you don't find in mass-produced furniture.
From a workshop in Hamworthy, Poole, that commitment has earned a growing reputation across Dorset for quality, care and craftsmanship. Clients come to MSO for work that's individual, made properly, and made to last.

A Craftsman's Approach
We believe the best joinery comes from taking time — understanding the room, choosing the right timber, and working it carefully. Traditional methods sit at the heart of everything we do, from hand-fitted cabinetry to staircases, windows and doors. It's a slower, more considered way of working, and it shows in the finished piece.
Traditional Craft, Modern Capability
Honouring traditional craftsmanship doesn't mean ignoring modern tools. We combine time-served joinery skills with today's machinery and materials — including premium hardwoods and solid surface — so you get the warmth of hand-made work with the precision and durability of a modern workshop.
Rooted in Poole
Our workshop at Hamworthy keeps us close to the homes we work in across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Wimborne, Broadstone and the wider Dorset area. Being local means we can visit, measure and fit with care — and stand behind everything we make.
